Our touring shows will resonate

The resonance also extends to the productions continuing their journey across France and internationally. The spectacular Mass for 40 solo voices by Striggio opens the Utrecht Early Music Festival; Fireworks & Water Music by Handel echoes from Sisteron to Besançon and as far as Switzerland; King Arthur by Purcell brings the Capitole National Opera of Toulouse to life; Israel in Egypt makes its grand return to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées; the Requiem by Fauré travels to Budapest; and The Caravan of Cairo by Grétry returns to the Royal Opera of Versailles. The fire still burns

" As soon as you're on stage, something happens. Every night, we say to ourselves again: my God, what volcanic music, what energy! ,” Hervé Niquet told the Dutch daily NRC.

Ahead of its fortieth anniversary celebrations, which begin in 2027, Le Concert Spirituel is keeping the flame alive and fueling the sacred fire—the one that drives artists when they step onto the stage, the one that ignites when instruments and voices serve the same music. This fervor, which has spanned centuries without losing its intensity, continues to drive Le Concert Spirituel to explore uncharted territory and champion works that have lost none of their power to inspire wonder. On the cusp of its 40th anniversary, the ensemble is already looking to the future. Because the story of Le Concert Spirituel is not one of a legacy to be preserved, but of an artistic adventure that continues to reinvent itself.‍‍

‍An illustrated anniversary season

Le Concert Spirituel is partnering with illustrator and opera singer Christelle Téa , whose poetic watercolors of instruments and choirs will illustrate the season's performances. Known for her art of drawing from life, her portraits, and her travel journals, she will also follow the ensemble throughout the season to capture moments of creation, rehearsals, backstage life, and performances. Furthermore, her sensitive and deeply human perspective will accompany the musicians in their work throughout 2027, extending the audience's view and revealing what it is like to be part of an artistic adventure that has been in motion for 40 years.
