Founder and musical director of Le Concert Spirituel
Harpsichordist, organist, pianist, singer, composer, composer, composer, choirmaster and conductor, Hervé Niquet is one of the most inventive musical personalities of recent years, recognized as an eminent specialist in the French repertoire of the Baroque era in Debussy.He created Le Concert Spirituel in 1987, with the ambition of reviving the French grand motet. In 35 years, the band has established itself as a reference in the interpretation of the Baroque repertoire, rediscovering known and unknown French, English or Italian works.
Professional integration
The Spiritual Concert Nursery
Each year, trainee musicians integrate at least one production of Le Concert Spirituel. They participate in the Ensemble's rehearsals and concerts/performances. Since 2012, dozens of students have benefited from this system and several of them have subsequently joined the Ensemble's staff and have been loyal partners ever since.
