Founder and musical director of Le Concert Spirituel
Harpsichordist, organist, pianist, singer, composer, choirmaster and conductor, Hervé Niquet is one of the most inventive musical personalities of recent years, recognised as an eminent specialist in the French repertoire from the Baroque era to Debussy. He founded Le Concert Spirituel in 1987, with the ambition of reviving the great French motet. Over the past 35 years, the group has established itself as a benchmark in the interpretation of the Baroque repertoire, rediscovering both well-known and unknown works from France, England and Italy.

The Pépinière of Le Concert Spirituel
Each artistic season, student musicians take part in at least one production by Le Concert Spirituel. Since 2012, dozens of students have benefited from this scheme, several of whom have gone on to join the Ensemble's ranks and become recurrent partners.
