Le Concert Spirituel, the Eventail dance company and Les Malins Plaisirs have been working together for many years to restore Molière's comédies-ballets in their entirety, as they were performed at court, without any additions or omissions. Each a specialist in his own field, respectively music, dance and theatre, their association has already made it possible to discover L'amour médecin and Les Amants magnifiques. To celebrate the 400th anniversary of Molière's birth, the three ensembles are renewing their collaboration on three new works of varying fame and structure.

After having explored works created by Molière as a writer, Pierre Beauchamp as a dancer and Jean-Baptiste Lully as a musician, Le Concert Spirituel, the Eventail dance company and Les Malins Plaisirs will continue to rediscover the repertoire with Le Malade imaginaire, Le Mariage forcé and Le Sicilien ou l'Amour peintre.

Although Molière, Beauchamp and Lully are to be found, it is Marc-Antoine Charpentier who is responsible for the score of Le Malade imaginaire. The combination of their talents has given rise to finely structured works that enhance the spirit of joy and enchantment of the spectator.

The Year of Molière - 2022: the 400th anniversary of his birth - offers a perfect opportunity to explore the singularity, strength and poetry of the comedy-ballet, thanks to a significant range of genres in which Molière developed the principle.
